Lawson Community Pre-school Lawson Community Pre-school is a 29 place early childhood service situated in modern, purpose- designed premises in the heart of Lawson township. We pride ourselves on our innovative early childhood program and our comprehensive transition to school program. We are completely community based and managed. We are seeking to fill the following two positions to commence at the beginning of Term 1, 2021 - University Qualified Early Childhood Teacher with NESA Accreditation (Temporary Position - 2 days per week) The successful applicant will have a proven ability to work closely with the nominated supervisor as well as demonstrated experience in planning and implementing programs in line with the National Quality Framework. Certificate III Qualified Early Childhood Educator (Permanent Part-time Position - 1 day pw with scope for further days each week working with children with additional needs) Essential Criteria The Successful Applicants for both of above positions will need to have: Demonstrated experience working as an educator in an early childhood setting providing quality early childhood education for 3 to 5 year olds Demonstrated experience working with children with additional needs A willingness to meet the needs of a service which is changing and developing to meet community needs A commitment to providing a safe, friendly environment free of cultural, religious or ability bias where each child is valued as unique A willingness to participate in a Darug language program Proven ability to work collaboratively as part of a team A commitment to fostering environmentally sustainable practices Excellent communication skills with children, families and staff A current first aid certificate which includes anaphylaxis and asthma training A current Working with Children number A willingness to attend some out-of-hours meetings Award wages apply.
